What is Hypnobabies? 

Hypnobabies is a method of Childbirth Preparation that uses hypnotic techniques, imagery and visualization to re-program the inner mind in a very positive way, and eliminate pain and fear from the birthing experience.  This is different from any other kind of hypnotherapy or childbirth education that you will ever do!

With adequate preparation, and in the absence of complications, hypno-mothers have little or no pain and shorter, easier birthings.

Welcome to Hypnobabies!

Our objective is helping couples to overcome a lifetime of negative programming about childbirth, so that they can give birth to their babies without drugs, confidently, safely, and in comfort, by using self-hypnosis pain elimination skills.  Hypnobabies teaches the same medical hypnosis techniques used by people who undergo surgery with hypnosis as their only anesthetic.  This is "Eyes Open" childbirth hypnosis, which means that mothers are awake and aware, and can move around freely, still very relaxed, still very deeply in hypnosis, and still completely comfortable while giving birth.

Hypnobabies childbirth hypnosis classes include complete preparation for childbirth as well.  Couples learn the stages of birth, prenatal nutrition and exercises, and they learn about staying healthy and low risk.  We inform couples about consumer issues and their options for birthing, and they create a plan for their birth preferences.  Hypnobabies couples participate in practice sessions together, and enjoy bonding with their babies before they are even born.

Unique to Hypnobabies is the thorough preparation of our Birth Partners, who receive their own relaxing hypnosis CD, and a detailed "Birth Partner's Guide" to hypnotic childbirth.  Our Birth Partners are pleased to find out they play such an important role in preparing for the births of their babies with hypnosis.

To insure Hypnobabies couples receive only the very best instruction, we require all prospective instructors to be experienced in childbirth and hypnosis before becoming trained and certified to teach Hypnobabies.
